General Manager, Coach, Nutrition Coach
Gina is a Navy veteran, Nurse Practitioner, and nutrition coach. She is originally from Boston, MA and found CrossFit as an athlete in 2011 as a means of cross training for triathlons. She fell in love with both the community and the sport, and started coaching in 2018. She has had the opportunity to coach and train and multiple affiliates all over the world. Her favorite workout is Chad, favorite movement is burpees, & least favorite movement is dumbbell front squats.
Katie carnelley
CF-L2
Coach
Katie started CF in 2016 and has been coaching since 2019. She loves the CrossFit community and having the opportunity as a coach to help members become a better version of themselves, one workout at a time. Professionally she is a pediatric speech therapist at a private practice. Her favorite things include: being at the beach, reading, heavy barbell workouts, and her dog, Nala.
Bethany smyers

CrossFit Kids Program Director, Coach
Bethany started CrossFit in 2019 when she moved to Arizona. She fell in love with the strong sense of community that CrossFit offers. Her passion for the sport led her to coaching in 2021 when she moved to NC. In the past two years, Bethany has earned her CFL2, started training personal clients, and helped develop and run a CrossFit kids program. She is a CrossFit Mayhem athlete and loves training with her husband and friends. Her goals are to continue developing as a coach & to continue competing at the highest level possible.
Marissa estep

Coach
Marissa is an outdoor enthusiast who found CrossFit in 2016 while competing competitively in Spartan races. In 2018 she moved fully to CrossFit training, got her Level 1, and started coaching not long after. Marissa finds so much fulfillment in watching people surpass their mental limitations and, with a Masters in Sport and Performance Psychology, her goal is to bring mental skills to more CrossFit athletes so they can get even more out of their training and life. She also hopes to use CrossFit as a means to stay fit and compete in ultra marathons. Her favorite movement is the deadlift, least favorite is the rower and she loves any kind of long/grinder type workout.
Lidia beer

Coach
Lidia is a 7x CrossFit Games masters athlete. She started CrossFit in 2010 after years of endurance running—she has completed 13 marathons—and qualified for her first Games appearance in 2011. She competed in the 55-59 Division at the Games from 2011-14, finishing in the top 10 in 3 out of 4 appearances. In 2016 she had a career-best finish of 2nd in the 60+ Division. She returned again in 2021 to compete in the 65+ division finishing 2nd that year. Lidia retired from AT&T in 2020 and from competing in 2022.
Mike wallace

Coach
Originally from Fayetteville, NC, Mike has lived all over the state during the course of his career in law enforcement. An avid runner, Mike found CrossFit after an injury in 2019. Falling in love with CrossFit was easy after realizing what type of community comes with it. He started coaching in 2022 and loves the opportunity to show athletes how CrossFit translates into everyday life! Mike’s Favorite workout is Nancy, least favorite movement is wall walks by far! And his favorite movement is the med ball clean.
Reed Westra

Coach
Coach Reed is originally from Richmond, VA but has lived in the Wilmington/Hampstead area for over 20 years. He started Crossfit in 2014 and fell in love with the challenge of the sport and the community. His two favorite CrossFit moves are handstand push ups and muscle ups. His desire for health and longevity keeps him here!
Meredith Rickel

Coach
Meredith started CrossFit in 2019 and immediately fell in love with the style of fitness and community. She grew up in gymnastics and started coaching gymnastics at 16. In 2020, she began coaching CrossFit and has continued to seek opportunities to grow and develop as a CrossFit Coach. She holds her CFL2 and has been very fortunate to receive coaching training from members of CrossFit HQ. She loves all gymnastics movements and being able to help athletes get their first muscle up or handstand. She also enjoys competing in CrossFit and hopes to continue progressing to higher levels.
